The Anglican Diocese of The Bahamas and The Turks and Caicos Islands has been ministering in these parts for several hundred years. At present, we are scattered over twenty-five islands in The Bahamas and The Turks and Caicos Islands.
The Church in the Province of the West Indies (CPWI) is one of 38 member provinces in the worldwide Anglican Communion. The church comprises eight dioceses spread out over much of the West Indies area (two mainland Dioceses and six island Dioceses located around the Caribbean Sea). The present position of Archbishop and Primate of the West Indies is held by John Holder. The church is also part of the Global South.
Anglicans Online was becoming a big resource on the Internet. It was getting published in books, magazines, and one magazine awarded it top prize in the Religion category, and tied for 7th best web site in the world, beating out heavyweights like AT&T, the White House, and Microsoft.
Anglicans Online began to attract a large regular following, and I tried to keep the main screen and inside links updated every weekend, and daily with breaking Anglican news when warranted. A number of volunteers around the world helped out. This once-temporary list of four links had grown to become a part-time volunteer job. Each weekend, I'd spend more than a dozen hours trying to keep up with the hundreds of emails.
